Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will not play in Week 5 due to a rib injury.

The decision to rule him out was made after the Bengals promoted WR Kwamie Lassiter II from the practice squad.

Higgins had been dealing with a cracked rib and was eager to play.

However, the team is prioritizing his safety by keeping him sidelined.

This absence is expected to result in more opportunities for Ja'Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd in the Bengals' passing game.

The injury adds to the challenges facing the Bengals in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Bengals fans will have to wait to see Higgins back in action as he recovers from his rib injury.
