Seahawks star leaves MNF game in first quarter

Seahawks star safety Jamal Adams made his season debut against the New York Giants on Monday night.

In the first quarter, Adams suffered a head injury when he was accidentally kneed by Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.

An independent concussion spotter intervened and had Adams taken to the locker room for evaluation.

Adams was ruled out for the remainder of the game after undergoing testing.

Adams had faced previous injuries, including a torn quadriceps in 2022 and a torn labrum in 2021.

He was originally drafted by the Jets in 2017 and traded to Seattle in exchange for two first-round picks.

Adams' injury added to Seattle's woes in the secondary, with multiple other players already sidelined due to injuries, including cornerbacks Artie Burns, Coby Bryant, and Tre Brown.
