Report: Derek Carr could play on Sunday, despite shoulder injury

Derek Carr, Saints quarterback, suffered a shoulder injury but there is optimism he may play against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Carr has a sprained shoulder and practiced on a limited basis on Friday, officially listed as questionable.

If Carr can't play, Jameis Winston, a former Buccaneer, will take the field for the Saints.

Both the Buccaneers and Saints are currently 2-1 in the season.

This game marks the first meeting between the teams since Tom Brady's era with the Buccaneers ended.

In the past, the Saints swept the Buccaneers in 2020 and 2021, but the Buccaneers won both games in 2022, including one playoff matchup.
