Khalil Mack, the unstoppable defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers, has been a dominating force in the NFL since his debut in 2014.

During an unforgettable Sunday afternoon matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, Khalil showcased his unparalleled skills once again, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s premier players. He left the football world in awe as he wreaked havoc on the very team that drafted him.

Khalil’s performance was nothing short of breathtaking as he shattered the Chargers’ single-game sack record. With an astonishing six sacks to his name, he left the previous record of five, set by Leslie O’Neal against the Dallas Cowboys in November 1986, far behind.

Khalil's Astonishing Performance Sends Shockwaves Through the NF

This incredible achievement marks the second time in Khalil’s illustrious career that he has achieved the rare feat of recording five or more sacks in a single game. His first remarkable performance occurred in December 2015 when he was a key player for the Oakland Raiders, now known as the Las Vegas Raiders.

Khalil joins an elite group in NFL history, becoming just the fourth player ever to achieve six or more sacks in a single game. The other members of this exclusive club include Derrick Thomas (twice), Osi Umenyiora, and Fred Dean.

With the six sacks he accumulated on that historic Sunday, Khalil’s career sack count now stands at an impressive 90.5. This remarkable milestone places him among the select few active players who have crossed the coveted 90-sack threshold.

The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2016, Khalil has consistently delivered outstanding performances throughout his nine seasons in the league. He has achieved eight or more sacks in an astonishing seven of those seasons and has been named a First Team All-Pro four times.

After spending his initial four seasons with the Raiders, Khalil embarked on a new chapter in September 2018 when he was traded to the Chicago Bears. He continued to excel during his four-year tenure with the Bears before his recent trade to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for draft picks ahead of the 2022 season.
